How do territories work?
Territories are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. While we can’t always promise exclusivity, we typically like to set up only 1 distributor per town or city. For larger metro areas, we might have more. Ultimately we try to avoid stacking our distributors too close together to reduce competition. You’re also free to sell listings to businesses in nearby areas.
How do I market & promote my directory website?
Most directory owners market their site on social media, through local events, or with Google AdWords, but we also provide you with an eBook which includes 100 different ways to market your directory and get traffic to your site.
How do I sell listings to local businesses?
Because a listing on your site is less expensive than other forms of advertising, they are much easier to sell. Businesses can also sign up themselves directly from your website or you can hire a sales rep to sell them for you...most sales reps will work commission-only so they only get paid when they sell a listing. It’s very easy to sell listings because the cost is much lower than other advertising options.
Who creates the banner ads?
You can design them yourself using a free banner creator tool or we can do it for you for a one-time fee of $20.
You can also add Google AdWords to your site which does not require you to design the ads at all. Google will automatically post ads to your site and you get paid every time someone clicks on an ad.
Can I host my directory website on my server or somewhere else?
No. The website must stay on our server. We use a quality, dedicated server designed specifically for our platform. This ensures smooth performance and stability, and allows us to continually make updates and upgrades to the software.
What kind of support and training do you offer?
We put together a robust Support Center that includes instructions for setting up and managing your directory website and is available 24/7 for your convenience. We also have a dedicated support team that will help you get started and can answer any questions you have. Our support team is available and can be contacted via email Monday - Friday: 7am - 5pm.
How much money can I really make?
